Happy Easter! Here's a quick video of Nick hunting for Easter Eggs from Grandma and Grandpa.

So, I promised a Halloween picture by January - I'm only off by a couple of months :) We borrowed an extremely cute Paddington Bear costume and took him trick-or-treating indoors at the Kennedy School.
Nana and Grandpop Burns came to Portland right before Halloween and stayed with us for a couple of months until they bought their new house in Gladstone, OR (about 35 minutes south of North Portland, where we live). Nick has really enjoyed having his grandparents so close!
We survived the Great Portland Snowstorm of '08 in December - we were confined to the house for literally 10 or 11 days. We tried to leave once and the car got stuck at the end of the driveway; Jon had to spend an hour digging it out just to back up the driveway! Here are some pictures.
We spent Christmas and New Year's at home for once - it was kind of nice!
Nick on New Year's - jazz hands!
So far 2009 has been calm and uneventful. Nick and I enrolled in 2 classes and have been spending time at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, the Oregon Zoo, and our new favorite, a cooperative Swap and Play in our neighborhood where Nick can play and I can trade clothes, toys, and all sorts of stuff with other parents. We visited Grandma and Grandpa Hance in Idaho, and my brother Erik and his family came to Portland to visit. Nick's new favorite people are "cousins Aiden, Sean, and Baby Gavin".
We will be redoing Nick's bedroom soon with a Thomas the Tank Engine big-boy bed, and I'll post pictures after we are done. Until then, here are a couple of other cute pics. Enjoy!
